I haven't visited the forum for a while (same reasons as everyone else who
prefers e-mail lists) so it is interesting to hear. The Tech implied that
ours was the only site to have the problem. Next time I get the error
message I'll post it here.
Will try the Server thingy later on - bit hectic at present as accreditation
is next week.
On that - the accreditator phoned yesterday with lots of questions - one was
on how long we kept paper copies after they had been scanned. We keep them
until we verify they are in MD and a backup has been run after the scanning.
He reckons they should be kept until the backup has been restored and
verified. I can see the sense of it but as we only do a restore every two
weeks it means a mountain of paper to be shredded at a time - the shredder
will pack up. I seem to recall that others have been advised to restore a
few times a year. The acrred. Guidelines is due change to include this
latest issue acc. to him. Will be interesting to see what else he comes up
with - I'm already hot under the collar about the whole process so I hope I
can control my temper throughout the 1h interview with him.
